DECICE

CARO workshop at HiPEAC25 conference

Together with the ACES project, DECICE co-hosts a workshop, which take place within the framework of HIPEAC 2025 Conference in Barcelona, Spain. Both projects aim to engage the broader Horizon Europe community involved in cognitive cloud research and innovation.

The EUCloudEdgeIoT.eu (EUCEI) initiative seeks to create a framework for understanding and advancing the Cloud, Edge, and IoT Continuum by fostering collaboration among various EU research projects.

The goal is to showcase, share, and discuss advanced solutions that are either in development or recently completed, both within Horizon Europe and beyond. These solutions focus on creating a flexible and robust architecture to manage computing and storage resources across the Cloud-Edge-IoT continuum.

The event will be an interactive workshop where experts will present and discuss the EUCEI Architecture standardization efforts and its application for intelligent distributed-edge-cloud orchestration. Participants will brainstorm to improve the EUCEI architecture in areas such as a) digital sovereignty enabled by decentralised federated orchestration; b) trust, transparency, and explainability in the intelligent orchestrator(s); and c) available open-source tools and standards.

The results of the workshop will be published in a HiPEAC white paper after the event.
